- Flexible Work Hours
SAXOTECH offers flexible work hours and the possibility to work remotely when possible.
- Paid Leave EMEA mothers receive their full salary for twenty-four weeks of their maternity leave. EMEA fathers are awarded two weeks' leave with salary during paternity leave. When your child is ill SAXOTECH offers you the ability to stay home on the first day with pay (Barnets første sygedag). On top of the mandated five weeks vacation, SAXOTECH EMEA also offers an additional three days off.
- Social Arrangements
At SAXOTECH we find that it is important to give our employees a chance to get to know each other outside of work. We always have two social events during the year – the summer party in August and the Christmas lunch in December. Position Title: Mediaware Center Services Consultant
Department: Services
Reports to: Mediaware Center Services Manager
Position Summary/ Job Purpose: SAXOTECH is seeking a Mediaware Center Services Consultant. This position is responsible for training clients, providing client support, consultation and implementation of the SAXOTECH family of products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review sales proposals and provide comments as to completeness.
- Configure software and hardware systems
- Troubleshoot software and hardware systems
- Document and perform integrations to third party systems
- Travel to customer site as required (up to 40% Travel).
- Document any customer defect or enhancement requests and communicate with Product Management as required
- Meet project milestone dates and budget targets as defined by Project Manager
- Provide regular status reports to the Project Manager.
- Provide functionality testing on new releases of software.
- Write both user and training documentation as required.
- Provide onsite customer training as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's):
- Knowledgeable about the content workflow in newspapers and/or magazines
- Knowledge about photo processing from camera to press to the internet
- Knowledge about QuarkXPress/InDesign-based pagination
- Computer knowledge for both Mac and PC platforms
- Excellent communications/customer relationship skills
- Excellent presentation skills
- Experience in working in a high performing, high pressure environment and results-oriented
- Ability to work on all stages of a project
- Ability to work with people from different departments within the company and have a good understanding of their requirements
- Ability to understand and help the sales department in a pre-sales environment
- Ability to discuss in some detail and to explain problems/solutions to people with different level of skills
Education / Work Experience:
- AS/BS in Computer Science, Journalism, or related discipline
- 1 to 3 years in technical support environment or 1 to 3 years software product implementation experience. This should include knowledge of Oracle or similar database system as well as hands-on experience with pagination software such as QuarkXpress and/or InDesign.
- Media company newsroom experience a plus.
- Networking and hardware experience a plus.
- Customer training/teaching experience a plus.
