SAXOTECH Launches Second Cloud to Satisfy Growing International Demand

TAMPA, Fla. – June 17, 2010 – SAXOTECH, a leader in content management and advertising solutions, announced today the expansion of its advanced hosted environment with cloud computing to a second location based in Europe. With more than 400 customer sites already in live use within SAXOTECH's North American cloud utilizing SAXOTECH Online, SAXOTECH Mediaware Center and SAXOTECH Ad Solutions, a second SAXOTECH cloud has been created to meet the growing international demand for its hosted solutions.
The new European-based cloud environment is built on the same proven technology as its North American cloud. Located in Basefarm's data center, the highly scalable new hosting environment provides media companies with greater flexibility to adapt to advances and changes in the digital environment.

"In the last 12 months, media companies have seen how effectively SAXOTECH's cloud technology can create efficiencies and increase capabilities for their news organizations," said Marcel Badowski, senior vice president of services, SAXOTECH. SAXOTECH's first customer within the new European-based cloud, Politkens Lokalaviser (POLA), has already begun live use of the environment. By utilizing the SAXOTECH cloud, media companies such as POLA are able to realize faster deployment times, better asset utilization, more efficient systems optimization and an improved ability to refocus resources all contributing to lower costs and competitive advantages. In addition, they will have the flexibility to increase bandwidth to accommodate even the most demanding traffic needs.

SAXOTECH anticipates having more than 80 sites live on its European-based cloud by end of Q3 2010.
